Phoenix Rising – Our Time, Our Rise, Taking Back what was hidden and reclaiming Self Actualization
Chris Youngblood September 11, 2023
Tomorrow marks the twenty second anniversary of September 11. This day brings many emotions to all of us. I am not going to rehash that day nor the conspiracy theories surrounding it. That is not the intent of this piece. We know there was trickery amuck and I don’t just mean trickery in the planning and execution. I mean trickery in the effects it had on us and still does. I mean to inspire us to take back what is ours, our god given sovereignty to rein on this plane as kings and queens; self mastery. But before we do that, let’s go back to what I said regarding effects on us. In the next few paragraphs I will speak to the causes from the viewpoint of an American but when I finish, I hope to inspire all human beings who value freedom, enlightenment and ultimate illumination (and I don’t mean the bullshit Adam Weishaupt version).
“Every Cause has its Effect; every Effect has its Cause; everything happens according to Law; Chance is but a name for Law not recognized; there are many planes of causation, but nothing escapes the Law.” The Sixth Hermetic Principle
What were we like before that fateful late Summer day? I remember the 90s very well. High School and College. That decade and the one before saw a new revolution in materialism and acquiring consumer goods and services. Freewheeling, economic growth ruled the day. There was no need for metaphysics, exploring the inner path for most of us, because we were too busy having a good time and acquiring material wealth. There’s nothing wrong with acquiring this, but when it is an end in itself, one finds oneself digging into nothingness; not digging into gold. Days wasted, drugs fancied, escape from the grind. These are the trappings of a demoralized automaton society with no connection to it’s past, no memory of it’s glorified gene pool, cut off from itself and the duties of the Vitruvian Man. We opted for the Ubermensch and like Nietsche we ended up broken. The good points of the Ubermensch were embraced, love of this world and of life, noble values to be sure; but what world and what life were we embracing? We bought into the Gordon Gekko line that “Greed is good,” and our schooling only taught a hot minute of Ethics. By the way, I’m bugging off the fact that I threw in a Gordon Gekko quote while talking about September 11 when I just realized that the movie Wall Street starts out with a shot of the Twin Towers and Sinatra singing, “Fly Me to the Moon,” which references Jupiter and Mars; do with that what you will. Others, this author included, took the polar opposite view of Nihilism that was so prevalent in the 90s. A renaissance of Nietzsche philosophy entangled with cypberpunk ethos via The Matrix and Fight Club was a rejection whole heartedly of corporate mentality. Yes, it made you feel cool but you weren’t grounded in anything else to lift yourself back up. So you stayed down and muddled through. Let’s be frank too, unless you were a philosophy major at the time (“you won’t get a job with that”) most of us only read Nietzsche and Baudrillard’s “Simulacra and Simulation” because of those two movies.
Going to church as a kid during this era looking back at grown ups, it seems like they were doing their own cremation of care for the week. Instead of once a year it was 52 times; but at least they felt truly alive for one day. For the greedy ones that lined the pews, at least they felt guilty for one day.
Did we really expect to be enlightened and not malleable at the end of the Twentieth Century? Did we really have anyone else to blame but ourselves? Was the magic show out of a back alley or did we go to the circus? Either way, we chose. It’s always choice.
“Wasted Hours before we knew where to go and what to do. Wasted Hours that you make new and turn into a life that we could live.”
-Arcade Fire “Wasted Hours”
Effects
Puff clouds, smoke and lives lost went down in front of us. The archetypal Tower Tarot Card; the one hidden deep. A mass display of horror captured. There’s an old saying that a flash from a camera captures the soul. On that day, I believe souls gave the ok to be snatched into the camera.
After the smoke had cleared, the unenlightened looked externally for who to blame, what to do because we had no sense of self, true history and individuality had been driven out of us during schooling. Besides, we had jobs. Can someone tell us what to do? It really was a brilliant play by the dark occultists, using symbolism to tug at our emotions and collective unconscious. Ever wonder why you never really hear of false flags during the Renaissance? I mean maybe there was one.
A Pagan goddess representing Liberty in a flame, a stone with no life in it. A cutout, a safe house. This mask propped up like the robot in Metropolis. Externalize the pain and cleanse yourself in the freedom of a statue, a flag and a pentagon. Oh yes, powerful to be sure. Ye peasants serve at the feast of authoritarian rights, massive artillery which you’ll never have the privilege of owning and feel good anthems by second rate country artists. We’ll take it from here. You just go back to work, go shopping (“The President said we can go back to shopping”). Nothing to worry about.
I remember thinking once I woke up a little to what was going on that the response to the above paragraph from the demoralized people for the next few years was reminiscent of Eddie Murphy in ‘Raw’ imitating a beta husband saying, “OK.”
“The market is a game, which has indeed received a simulacrum in the family game of Monopoly. It is thus strictly subject to the general theory of games, developed by von Neumann and Morgenstern. This theory is based on the assumption that each player, at every stage, in view of the information then available to him, plays in accordance with a completely intelligent policy, which will in the end assure him of the greatest possible expectation of reward.”
-Norbert Weiner Cybernetics: or the Control and Communication in the Animal and the Machine
On page 131 of the Kybalion, which is a summary of Hermetic Wisdom, it states, “Persons who can give continued attention and thought to a subject actively employ both of the Mental Principles – the Feminine in the work of the active mental generation, and the Masculine Will in stimulating and energizing the creative portion of the mind. The majority of persons really employ the Masculine Principle but little, and are content to live according to the thoughts and ideas instilled into the ‘Me’ from the ‘I’ of other minds.”
I contemplated this statement and realized that in the form of mental creation there is a sexual union that forms. The Masculine will stimulates and hones in on the feminine or creative side of the mind. It is how I sat down and started to write this piece. It is a thing of beauty that we are all divinely given. The sad thing is that many are only receiving instead of creating. Most deep down know this and give away their thinking away willingly. This is a form of Stockholm Syndrome. The others, the sheep who are directed this way and that, accepting the voice through the “channel” coming from the “box” programming them; they don’t willingly give away their sovereignty. In my view, this is mental rape. Lies are being told not only about linear time but also the false idol of entropy dog eat dog that got us here in the first place (see causes).
The Natural Law sin of lies depriving the victim of free will is a cause of many of our sufferings. We cannot operate coherently and objectively in a world full of lies, and I mean lies of our self worth. That is what it all comes down to. Period.

The birdcage represents mental bondage. A mockingbird can occupy a birdcage. See Operation Mockingbird.
Rebirth
To All Humans – The fire that most of us have can be harnessed, and ignite a flame that will not burn out. See, the so called rulers want to enact their own version of the Phoenix from the ashes they created. For those that remain malleable and have alchemically been transmuted to change their view of what money, credit, life, spirituality (again externalized) and immortality is (living in the Metaverse); they will continue to fall victim. The light has never been found in authority, nor will it ever be.
At Ground Zero
It is incumbent on us to use our divine given triune faculties (Grammar, Logic and Rhetoric) towards awakening our ancestral heritage. There are no more worlds to conquer so Alexander can cry all he wants. The inner cave is the world we must enter, root out the causes of decay, find the gold and bring it to surface. You’ll need a torch down there to light the darkness, believe me. But we can emerge once again (as we have in the distant past) a Phoenix rising from the ashes. I chose the photo at the beginning of this specifically because it has the human being as light, as energy, rising. Not an external solid, but a fluid being, full of water, blood, earth and fire. This is a symbol that has been occulted (hidden) and used against us; even hijacked to scare us into not truly looking into it. A hammer can be used to build a house or for evil. It is not the hammer that is evil, but how it is wielded and who wields it can change the trajectory of that time and space. Take back our symbols, take back our fire! Take back our Freedom! This is our time and we owe it to the memory of those lost, not just on 9/11 but the foolish wars and destruction left in their wake. WE OWE IT TO THEM, TO OURSELVES AND TO OUR CHILDREN! WE OWE IT TO THE ONES WHO WILL CALL US ANCESTORS!
We are Steven Biko, we are Thomas Paine, we are Geronimo, we are Crazy Horse, we are William Wallace, we are Elijah P Lovejoy, Charles Perkins, we are Emily Hobhouse, Harriet Tubman, Frederick Douglas, etc. The list goes on and on, stretching back in time, reaching out to us if we will only listen. Just like our shadow self reaches out internally, begging for healing. We must heal in order to go forward, in order to not be frozen with fear. In order to lead. We have unlimited potential. We are men and women of conscience. But we need to examine ourselves how we got here. The only way out is through. Go through the dark to come out into the light and ascend. We need to get back to root causes of morality, basically following the golden rule. Action, forthrightness. No longer giving ourselves away in that imagery. We create our own images, WE DIVINELY CREATE in our own unique ways. The one and the many.
I want to be clear that in some of the people I mentioned above, they had to finally resort to violence. I do not advocate ever initiating violence. That is the non aggression principle. But I do believe in self defense, both intellectually and physically, if necessary. I write that in blood, forever Youngblood. For I will defend what is good, true, just and right; so help me Source.
“The harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph. What we obtain too cheap, we esteem too lightly; it is dearness only that gives everything its value. I love the man that can smile in trouble, that can gather strength from distress and grow.”
_Thomas Paine
I hope this will inspire you. Use your gifts. Choose wisely. On this day may we honor no more in only solace. I understand that those who have lost will do this. But I also ask that we grab that hammer of truth, the one that is supposed to represent justice so called, and wield it to build communities, networks and cultivate the new generation of young ones coming after us. Light and fire sprung from earth and water.
